Rain

So ever pleasing this trickling sound.
This lashing thunder that gazes from the clouds.

The water drips down my face, to the puddles at my feet.
As I draw you closer, I whisper these words so sweet.

Why don’t we just wait to hear the rain?
Once more with the lashes as your eyes hold back the pain.

I send these shivers running down your spine.
Just to hear that solid echo from the sky.

Were all just drowning with our torn and bleeding heart.
It’s just a broken waste, a love that fell apart.

Hold on and wait, to another day well see.
